500 West Redwood Street (Plaza Garage)

On Mar, 6, 2012 at approximately 6:00 p.m., the University of Maryland Police and the Baltimore Police Department responded to the Plaza Garage located at 500 West Redwood Street for a report of a shooting. Upon our arrival a male victim, suffering from a gunshot wound was located inside of the garage. The victim was transferred to the hospital for treatment.

The University of Maryland Police Force remains vigilant in its effort to keep the Campus and its surrounding community safe through the continued cooperation and intelligence sharing with the Baltimore Police Department. We have increased our patrols on Campus and in the garages.

SUSPECT(S) INFORMATION

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20 years of age, wearing a Ravens cap, white t-shirt and blue jeans. The Baltimore Police is investigating this incident with assistance from UM Police.
