Remember how bans were meaningless with the vztz xp rate that you are calling for? Think it might lead to more exploiting and training if you reduce the xp rate?

Most of you are looking at this the wrong way. The point isn't to level to 50 as soon as possible. You should be happy logging in, dinging once, and then logging off to take a shower or go outside. Only with classic exp can you thoroughly experience different phases of your class's development and not breeze through it like the different levels don't matter. Being a caster with fast exp is meaningless when you can get your next spells in less time than it takes to run to the spell merchant. For a Mage, levels 1-3 are supposed to be the levels where you want to shoot yourself for not having a pet yet. For a Bard, levels 1-7 are the levels where you have to adapt to not having stringed instruments (and levels 35+, where you have to learn to group, or find another efficient soloing method). For an Enchanter, levels 1-11 are the levels where you don't have charm. For every caster, they have to be extra careful for those first 11 levels where they don't have bind, or else they might be in for a hellish corpse run. The game is supposed to test you and force you to adapt to the limitations of your class at different stages of its development. This aspect of the game is completely trivialized with fast exp. It makes no difference that Bards are slow levelers before level 8 (because they can't modify their dot with a lute yet), when the journey to level 8 only takes an hour. This is a huge part of classic eq. It's not some negligible, tedious annoyance that the devs kept in "just because it's classic". It's actually an important part of what people enjoyed about the game. I don't know how else to explain this. *(before you say that grinding ability doesn't imply skill, keep in mind it implies the ability to hold a camp for longer and to be able to survive longer. It also tests your ability to level at an efficient rate (read: not solo a light blue every 20 minutes). All of these things require some level of skill) Quote:

yes, but you're lumping GOOD people in with Wehrmacht, Cast, Littlegyno, Salty, and Dojii. The rest of the people from that server don't like that.

I can quite literally not count on more than one hand the amount of quality people from vztz when that shitbox finally croaked.
Searyx was one, but he's quickly crying about experience too much to be taken seriously.

Just casually logging in and dinging once? Good luck on a melee or hybrid... An increase to exp doesn't invalidate any of your points lazor, no one wants to be able to get to 50 in a week. You cannot deny that the population is declining or that it has declined. It is also pretty clear that it is a result of the slow grind. I don't care about mid-lvl pvp and I cant imagine to many people do. People play here to pvp at 50 and even more so, to pvp with a large population. I was excited to log in and see 400+, 300+ and even 200+ people playing, just hoping that by the time I got to 50 there would STILL be that amount playing.
As it stands now, I have a lvl 35 pally and I don't imagine I'll be 50 for at least another month. I just hope there is enough people still playing to make that month worthwhile and it seems the only way that is possible is with an increase to exp.

+1 lazors post.
The game means something. yes, we like to pvp, but eliminating the grind eliminates much of the game. You might as well just remove half the zones and dungeons and have everybody meet up at solb and lower guk to duke it out for mana stones and ykeshas. Fuck that, eq is more than that.
