It seems that everyone has defined classic as up through Velious, but what are you basing that on?

Character models, and the end of an entire era of gameplay style.

Did you not play live? There was a MASSIVE difference between Vanilla + Kunark + Velious and the luclin shift towards coddling casuals (did you not ever level a noob in paludal?).

Sure, there were good zones, but none of them made any sense to the lore of Everquest without the massive shift to the moon furry paradigm.

I THINK, and I may be wrong on this, but I THINK it's an item in WoW that returns you to your bind. Don't really see how it's any different than gate though.

Everyone in wow gets a hearthstone and its w short calcium. Plus you can bind at any inn in the game with it.
