I still have at home my old original Monster Manual (has red dragon on it I think), Fiend Folio (sp?), Players Handbook, DM Guide and several of those little pewter characters hand painted no less. My 10 yr old son sees them on my bookshelf at home and looks through them every so often.

I think I got those back in 78 or 79 I think. Good times.

again, check out pathfinder... it was designed specifically to make the 3.5 rules easier so it would fit well for children.

Update: So i went with DnD4th edition and started playing with my 2 ten year olds. So far so good some rules i need to better understand but I will figure that out soon enough. I think I am going to buy some of the Dnd miniatures(however they have been discontinued) anyone know where i can get some for cheap? i am particularly interested in orcs/goblins and other cannon fodder type mobs. obviously I dont see them fighting beholders or Dragons anytime soon so I dont need any fancy mobs that can just own them right off the bat. Will keep you guys posted, and again thank you for all your input.

My fondest memory of DnD is looking at a really hawt nymph or faerie or some shiz in the monster manual back in middle school. It had like a near transparent robe which was very riskay. Its what I picture akyra as when we doing the dirty... anyone got a blueline?
