For most of that stuff I agree. But anything that requires a group to camp will be significantly harder to get because mobs are harder to kill on this server due to correct mechanics. Also, there's going to be no boxing, so it will be much harder to put together the correct group for a camp, so unless you're rolling with a bunch of friends in predetermined group roles, getting good pvp gear as a melee will be difficult for quite awhile imo.

The mithril arms/legs are a bit tricky, but at least you don't have to camp a named for them. SSB loses any value after people have been able to camp lord for a couple of weeks, and most of the rest can be picked up while leveling or simply bought. It's a lot harder for casters who can't wear most of the easy resist gear and have to rely on diamond/jacinth jewelry and planar gear, but it's difficult to feel sorry for casters in classic PvP. I do hope Rogean goes with classic resists, though, because then melees won't have to wait ages to become viable.

In the interest of curiosity, I thought I'd tally what you can get. A warrior without any real raid gear:

2x Earring of Magic Reflection +10svm

That's +118 svm +35svf +35svc, or 173svm 60svf 60svc on a lvl50 dwarf warrior. If you go with diamond rings and frog crown instead, you're looking at 141svm 94svf 94svc instead. Throw in some planar bracers and such and you have some seriously hardcore resists before Kunark even comes out. Melees are beastly with gear, and it's not that grueling to get at that point in time.
