Who said that was a failure? You make a bunch of money in subscription fees due to your involvement in a project that you were asked to be involved in due to all of your prior free work on another emulator.

Seems like a big win for Rogean even if EQL doesn't last past a few expansions. He gets a bunch of money out of it either way.

Ehhh, a bunch, idk. Doubtful that they bought his or Secret's or the other devs IP as part of their deal. He's making a salary, yes. Probably slightly north of $100k.

Don't get me wrong, nothing to sneeze at - but it's certainly not retirement money.

Rogean is independently wealthy isn't he? I'm sure he'd take $100k+ revenue from the side hustle he ordinarily does for free (and sometimes at his own expense if donations are insufficient)

It's also weird that THJ was such a huge success, no nose dive, and had to be shut down because it was taking away too many players from live?

And you r-words think that it will nosedive?

Why, do you think rogan can't do that with official daybreak backing?

Most of its free time is what catches my attention here.

I would pay a subscription to actually see that before I'd pay to subscribe to roll-a-dope.
