Also IDK If yall remember this, but if you went linkdead, your character would turn into a killing machine. Whenever we got the exe axe, we loved challenging higher level players to duels and then typing /q once the duel started because the damage cap would be removed and suddenly your level 10 character is now wielding an exe axe like he's a level 50 npc. I really don't know if anyone remembers this, but this was so hilarious. There was no Discord back then, so I remember being on the phone with my friend asking what happened after I typed /q and them LOL'ing that my character just decimated a much higher level player.

What I did is in my sig. Back before there were raid chats, and if a raid was made up of non-guildies, people would use /shout for raid instructions.
During the early first Trakanon kills, I /shout WAVE ONE GO GO GO And they apparently went. I was in disco grinding.

When my server was down I made a new char on other servers and pulled Rinna the GM cleric to Nro. Killing all the evil mules in EC when she pathed back. stupid but fun times

I once joined Drelzna group in Najena, basically no chance of getting Jboots 6th in line.
Then right before D died she stunned me and I was spinning so I tried to counterspin and clicked the corpse, which had J boots on it. Quickly realized this was my only shot and bagged em, quickly departed afterwards. Ran around in butcherblock like a king spamming my new boots then logged out. Came back to read a patch note: A loot notice had been implemented so group could see everything that was looted and Jboots was now a quest. That and just an ungodly amount of kill stealing, usually from whole groups until they changed that too. The power of Wizards were clearly too much for 14 year old me....

actually i forgot a GM had to show up in mistmoore once too. I was camping dhamp with an entire group. i saw a corpse there, and realized the person was online. i asked our cleric to resurrect him because i knew how hard it would be for him to get his corpse. we rez him, heal him up etc. and then we step out from the little area dhamp is in and start killing the mobs in that garden area.... suddenly the guy we rezzed claims dhamp camp is his because we left the camp (were like 10 feet away).... people start getting heated, and are like no, this is our camp SO HE CALLS THE GM'S ON US. keep in mind he's only even alive in the zone because we went out of our way to rez him etc.
Before the GMs even get there, dhamp spawns, harm touches and kills him almost instantly. He still is arguing with me through /tells that the camp is his etc. Never met someone that autistic before. | ||

VS is one of those few bosses in EQ where operation human wave is massively detrimental to success. It's one of my favourite fights due to this - small coordinated strike force does best.... even though I do love the concept of 200 people rushing dragons too! The devs did really well with the vibe and execution of the VS fight. More like an assassination of a top target than a battle.

I love how RecondoJoe acts like there is such a thing as being bad in a group on P99 for an SK or a Rogue lol
