As a magician I loved the Burnt Wood Staff. Long 10 sec cast time, but a nice free 300 dmg spell, not enough to pull a mob off pet. Pet could tank, I could get free nukes, I'd do 3k in damage on some stuff and not have to use a bit of mana.
