Thrashing Enchanters is classic.

I think the argument about "classic" needs to have a focused definition. We're fluctuating between what IS classic and what FEELS classic. Some of us want original eq so we can dominate the game that kicked our teenage asses and some of us want a game that feels as difficult and rewarding as original eq did even with all of our extensive knowledge of exploitable features and min/max moneyballing statistics.

Maybe this is the line that needs to be drawn between the two servers.

I had my epic in classic. Here I do not have it. So unclassic.

Yeah, we call them people who want Classic (purists) and people who want Not Classic. There is nuance but this is what it boils down to.

Over time the Devs shifted from the former to the latter.

Remove all the unclassic nerfs, unroot dragons, let us disable dynamic lighting, disable /who all zone, fix AC damage reduction tables, mouse 3rd person zoom, remove all the other unclassic commands, etc.

Then P99 will actually be as close to classic as it can be with this client full of out of era features. Right now TAKP is more accurate to PoP era than P99 is to Velious.

There is something odd in the melee calcs. Check out this level less than 45 rogue skeleton versus a level 50 giant. I don’t know where the issues may fall but check it out:

That is mode hit of max versus a red mob of about 6 levels difference. Classic?!

In classic (and on literally every server that isn't p99) AC is king. On P99, HP is king because AC barely makes a difference. I remember when Project Quarm launched everyone was commenting on how they could actually notice the difference AC made.
