The funniest thing about rep and selling accounts is selling accounts on p99 is open and everyone knows about it 99% of the time. its not like on live where people would hide the transaction and have to pretend or take on the identity of the previous player and therefore reputation was important. Gmuk was sold...we all know it why does his reputation matter to anyone when we know he was sold to someone else and isnt the same person anymore? makes me laugh when people talk about reputation and not wanting to buy a alt/character for that reason.

Not everyone in game comes to the forums. Granted, that they would probably need to come to the forums to read him at his worst. Chances are others that don't come here have had bad experiences with him too and they will not be aware that the account was sold, or maybe even wasn't sold.

Either way the name has been run through the mud and I know if I was buying a character I would take my plat to another warrior.

Again all you have to do is say..oh i bought this toon last week...can we be friends? ..my point is buying toons on this server isnt looked down upon as it was on live. on live it was the other way around, no one cared if you had the best reputation on the server, if they found out you bought the account you were looked upon the community as a lepper.

oh and to the previous poster i got my Philosphey degree 10 years ago..glad i can put it to some constructive use ...at least in EQ hahah since it doesnt do much in RL

again why is selling/trading accounts legal? all it does is ruin the server economy and definitely isnt classic. fucking two boxing is more classic than mass selling accounts.

I understand why you'd say this, but realistically accounts bought/sold for plat do not at all cause fluxuation on the value of anything, including in game currency.

Classic/kunark - 1999-2001. I'd guess 10% of the entire Live population had 2 PCs, and more to the point I'd guess less than 1% had 2 dial-up connections to support this, or cable/dsl ancestors of some sort.
