I'm still waiting for an EQ player to acknowledge my gnome, Akanon.

I don't really watch streams but this is fucking gold
p.s the amount of gold-buying among this subset of the community is fucking pathetic. This had to have been a $100+ duel

[The guild interview I posted was apparently a troll so I deleted it]

Yea a lot of streaming shit is fake, trolls, or stunts for views/virality. Good rule of thumb to never, -ever- group with streamers as they'll purposefully let you die or wipe etc for the 'event' of it.

I enjoyed classic release in 2019
I just wish that pug battlegrounds existed (it literally didn't, was all premades) like they did back in vanilla. That was the nail in the coffin for me Plus I hated how much I felt like I lived and died for a shitty (9-10% drop rate typically) lottery spin after 3+ hours of effort in a raid. After a few raids of the item not dropping and me basically having completely wasted my time, it was hard to bring myself to keep doing it. I had ran ZG like 50+ times before I finally got that ring set that was Bis until naxx. I got so sick of running ZG for 2-3 hours for nothing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=

I never enjoyed ZG, the Plane of Sky of WoW raiding.

Wow I didn’t realize that the “coward” debuff you get from running out of the Mak’gora duel to the death is a 3 day that only ticks down when you are logged into the game
And the game will auto log you out when afk for a period of time so that won’t work That’s actually pretty funny, pretty nasty debuff too https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=

So I was on my solo mage and I was lvl 17 at the time. I went down to the beach in Westfall to kill some murlocs for some eyes for a quest. I engage with one who seems solo and I get an add from behind a wood log. OK np I'll burn this one down and work on the add....
So I kill the mob I was fighting quick enough and switch to the add. I look up at my life and I'm at 40%! Wtf what is hitting me so hard! I turn to run and there is a Murloc who's behind me! Apparently has been hitting me this whole time and I hadn't noticed. So I run passed him and up off the beach and they're chasing me and casting on me and I finally disengaged their aggro with 4% life!!! My adrenaline was pumping so hard I had to hearthstone out just bc I was so shaken up from it lol. That adrenaline rush lasted over 15 min it was such a thrill! I'll never be able to play wow not hardcore after this experience.

It can actually add extra challenge because panic makes us worse at making decisions. But how can someone not panic especially later when they now have hundreds of hours sunk into that char? It’s like poker, once a lot of real money is on the line, all of a sudden people have tells
