Is that true for british english too? Not a native english speaker so always assumed it was pronounced as the verb in both cases

In the early days, shield of words was also abbreviated SoW, and it was confusing because people want spirit of wolf much more frequently.

I played the whole classic era and I def did not have the same Mandela experience as you. Hearing Spirit of the wolf actually sounds really uncanny and disturbingly wrong to me.

The only thing I remember about SoW back in 1999, was watching druids kite sand giants in Oasis and I looked upon them as if they had super powers and it was because they had that spell.

Still didn't motivate me to create a Druid though.
