not quite as long as the 09 people here. I stumbled on this project through the forums of another EQ Progression server i was following called EQClassic. It had a really lively forum since the game had not been released. They had a roadmap for their progression on the build, but having just checked the site again, it looks like it may have fizzed out at the end of 2020 or early 2021. I remember the forums dying down pretty quickly once P99 started to catch on.

The most recent dev post in that forum mentions another project called Project Lantern, so who knows if they're even still working on EQC

Yeah I think that's how I found P99 too, from EQClassic forums.

Although there was another "classic" EQ server I used to play on then that I can't remember the name of. I have screenshots from it and a separate install folder for it still. I have no clue what it used to be though. I think it used PoK and other non-classic things, I have a vague memory of that.

Not sure what took me so long to create a forum account, but I've been around for quite sometime. Chirp started out as my honeycomb farmer for stein of moggoks.

My first toon's birthday is November 9, 2009, but I no longer play. P99 gets progressively worse every year. (the narrowness of the xp highway, the overuse of zerg forces, and enchanters being totally OP and not classic)

I do still love the idea of eq though, and feel nostalgic for it regularly.

I've posted 3 times in the last 5 years and still averaging 1.11 posts a day with account created in 2011. Man i talked too much on here back in the day. Somehow Eratani overtook me in posts too. I feel ashamed.
