The plymouth superbird came indirectly from the Temperance Movement.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temperance_movement
*We had prohibition due to the Temperance Movement. Prohibition spawned organized crime nation wide. Due to organized crime protecting their business with the use of fully legal automatic 'assault' weaponry, the first gun laws were passed. NASCAR came from prohibition bootlegging, the plymouth superbird was built for NASCAR.

Men built a 200MPH death trap because women complained too much. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

edit:

And at some point in our history some of them where in average household driveways.

That's true, temperance was a female led thing.

Never forget the despotism of the petticoat.

Females got suffrage when? They didn't vote those laws in. The males in government didn't veto prohibition. Who's fault is that?

Not to mention it was male police that had to enforce it.

I think people like to blame women, when women just talked about it a lot.

Do married men complain to rando women about their wives?

Anyway. NASCAR, the Plymouth. 200 mph cars. Widowmakers, all that stuff is cool. Especially if you care for them. It's sad to see people by disposable cars and just not care anymore.

I think we are getting off topic.

Would have plenty of open highway to play on after the collapse! Plus plenty of vehicles to machine into cool hotrods once the radiation died down some.

Literally 100 years after there would be an incredible world to adventure in full of all kinds of magical things! Imagine if in the ruins of Area 51 or Sandia natl laboratory or some university or library there's working equipment! You just need power!

I think there's a case for post nuclear apocalypse where we don't go tooooo hard on the nukes and tech still progresses, just 1000x more rapidly because people are free. Money isn't the issue. And a more sustainable society develops. People get to do things differently with the information for solar, atomic power, flight, etc.

P.s. I rly like your car, and hobby videos! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

The bulldozer winch repair was elite! Was awesome when they hooked it up to that junker and started having fun lol.
