Militia’s would be sloppy, but put them through a crash course of military training and then see what they can do. If the Muslim radicalization camps can make them capable of killing Superpower nation’s soldiers and they live in caves and fuck goats (sometimes), pretty sure we can learn how to as well

Gas was internl genocide first strike? vs defensless? Unaware at the time kurds, rebels? Mountain village folks? years later? Not reallywar.. Idk about veterans of the Iran and Iraq war, that was maybe vx or mustard. Way before my time. Most of them died tho. Saw a BBC docu where they interviewed some Iranians and Iranians vets. They pumped out kids and they fought any way they could. Iran won. Afaik they literally stomped Iraqs two? Invasions, occupations, then came the Soviet? Well, it was like Iraq, Soviet, Iraq maybe? They have little tiny monuments all over and it was a big part of their identity.

Dieing fighting outside invaders was and is the most honorable way to live. Obviously everyone wants to make the other die first. Although I have to say Iranians where really impressive vs those two groups. They where willing to go all the way for many decades. Not just a few years. Or until the food and bullets ran out.

Definitely deserves a deeper look study from good sources and eyewitnesses accounts as a segway to unsungheros assertion.

Well either way NATO will be right there on their border. Doubly so now. So I was wrong about that.

I think it's mostly about the southeastern area around Crimea. It's strategically important, economically important, and could be a nice place to retire to one day. Fish, and have a yacht. I don't think it was worth invading and threatening nukes tho.

Maybe Putin has OCD and that jagged edge between Crimea and Chechnya was way 2 much to cope with.

Can anyone give a really good better actual reason for the invasion since we know the insurgency was trumped up?

I know Putin likes shoving Muslim refugees into Europe via Polandball and Belarus. More of that? I heard Putin has Parkinsons and some other horrible wasting condition too.

Something about not wanting Ukraine as part of NATO being so close to Russia, and Ukraine being lucrative ($$) due to a port it has. Those are supposedly the real reasons for invading. There’s speculation that Russia wants to take back all of what the USSR lost but that is probably impossible since that includes more countries like even part of Germany

He’s rebuilding the Soviet Union and using the resulting isolation to justify increasing domestic totalitarianism. He’s a one trick pony and an ass hole. He will face justice in the next life, hopefully he receives it in this one as well
