i haven't registered that 130hp BEAST in like two years although I do keep it running. It's a very nice vehicle which perhaps needs a paint job. I like machines and working on them and I don't
really need a car, for I have men.
I've admitted I am not rich many times. What I
am is able to live happily on a passive income which is self-reinforcing and actively growing, without working. My husband and I are young academics. We are not 40yo careerists who experience pain and anxiety when they witness people who do not suffer as do they.

I was eliminating physical possessions already in undergrad. I was storing my car a mile walk from my home when I was 18. I just plain have a different value system, experience set, and interest set from you. I am used to living in places where cars are impractical and rarely used.
I also just plain love old machines, and I have a much more refined and accessible taste than just to look as expensive as possible. I stand up straight in public and make warm eye contact even when I got there in my faithful 1995 Ford Contour (which is the MUSCLE CAR of 90s civics) because I was raised humbly, with self-respect. Sorry.
I could walk away from everything I own (except my wardrobe lol. there's much more money in that than the car of course.), I could leave my car in a ditch on the side of the road or accept its totaling without having a bad afternoon. My life is superior to yours which is why you are mad about what I have but yet dare not call me anything but...young, with my head on straight?
