Thank You for your service.
Can you get a real job after the brainwashing?
Yeah, wasn't hard to find a job after getting out. Spent 10 years in and have a fuked up back so I take my disability pay like a normal person would.

Don't be a dumb joe and leave money on the table. Like I said, if you're too "proud", take it and donate it to a veterans charity or something. Plenty of folks not getting enough for what they put in.

Yeah if he did serve and has legit PTSD or TBI then hey definitely needs to take the disability money. Even IF, he's doing well IRL and is healthy, bangs super models, sips big sips and shit now, those illnesses can deplete you financially in a hurry and turn your health sour real quick.

Morale of the story, dumb flex on elf forums - go get your money RJ and STFU

I'll never go back to the VA hospital again personally, and consider myself lucky to live nearly 100 miles away from the closest one because they actually did try coming to my house when I first got out and refused to go back.

The shittiest part is, even with my own insurance I can't go to a private doctor to get treatment for PTSD. When I tried they told me they can't treat it and that I have to go through the VA hospital for service-related injuries.

Seriously ur sorta fine now but in 10 years u could literally just end up withering away from TBI in bed or losing it and slicing urself up or getting kicked out if ur home & divorced.

TBI is no joke.

I dont know what the relevance of that screenshot is, no VA hospital is going to commit you to a ward unless your suicidal and then its probably best for you to be held there and cared for.

As far as living 100 miles away from a VA hospital, thats great, you can get seen by a civilian provider without having to go to the VA hospital. It's really not hard

Of course this has nothing to do with you not getting the money from your disability sooooo...

Long term is is the goal
Those gov retirements last a real long time though. Look into it Magnetaress,. you may be able to get a military job as a transgender and retire set for the rest of your life.

I'm doing everything I can to prepare for the future honestly, I invest in silver and gold, crypto, stocks etc.

Don't get me wrong it would be awesome to get real treatment for PTSD and to just feel normal again (which is why I originally went to the hospital in the first place), but it's not realistic. Anyone from my generation who served is completely aware that there is no help at the VA, and going there just adds fuel to the fire. I've gotten to the point where I've learned to live with it and honestly I don't even think about it that much anymore, the anxiety is always there, but before my PTSD was on a different level, like 24/7 flashbacks, not sleeping for days at a time, getting in fights with random strangers over nothing etc.
