Error 1018: Lame

I have this problem only if I don't /camp out.

If I /quit, ctrl+alt+del kill EQ, or any other exit besides /camp, there's a chance I see a 1018 when I try to log in the next time.

I tried looking for fixes like you did and got nowhere.

Just make sure you /camp or prepare to wait 30-60min to log in.

tl;dr = use /camp

Camping doesn't solve this problem. You can experience 1018 even when no characters exist on your account or you've never logged in to a character.

Yea, my account has been 1018'd for about 24+ hours now.

I've never had this 1018 bug and I never ever want it lol.

Is there nothing all the unfortunate souls have in common? Running WinEQ? Playing on a wireless connection? /q'ing out instead of camping out?

Its crazy that there's nothing the GMs can do about it.
