This is actually my fault, more than Nilbog's really, since I forgot that mage pet research requires the previous circle's spells and that some mage research recipes don't exist.

I wouldn't have recommended the vendor changes, accurate though they are, if I knew they'd break the class spell progression.

you did good, and they should have added research combines all the way up to 49 until vendor pets classically went in

basically everyone bearded who didn't realize mages got no pets, rerolled enchanter. my advice is to just stay put, wait for the fix. we got a few days before the hordes of normies catch up to 34's. IMO the shitstorm is only starting to turtle.

Mages have a better 49 nuke than wizards right now until ice comet comes in.

And to be clear, wizard nuke, "Rend" is still a far better nuke than "lava bolt"
More damage per mana and faster cast. Also it is not limited like the bolt spell. i am sure i don't need to list the disadvantages of bolt spells. So our 44 Nuke is most likely going to be mostly used.

I would argue Wizard 44 nuke is still bettet than mage nuke a litlle better than shock of sword and alot better than bolt that is unreliable.
Still as pure nuker, they are pretty much equal. One can do other things tho, the other, not so much in the current state.
Still, wizard, tough class, not one of the least played for no reason.

Yeah maxximus is 50 also i think and i should get there pretty soon.
I mean the class is still very useful if you have people to group with. Just much less fun. I like to be able to help cc’ing with pets, it is not possible right now.

The gameplay is send pet and nuke. But try to keep moving your pet out of hit range cause he will die almost instantly. In tight spaces or with root cc its a real annoyance.

Lguk with aoéing wizards ? Make sure pet have a guard spot far back and try to avoid all aoe. So your pet will die and often. So you just have to resummon.

But wait, you want to contribute as much as possible cause has a nuker without clarity, pet does help contribution. Too bad your pet are all deep green, no way of knowing if its a max pet before melee test. But they they so low they struggle to get max hit, so you pass your nights testing and resummonning.

It works but its so boring and annoying. Next reboot, we will get better mages.
