The beta screenies look like they had higher rez like dev textures enabled and they nerfed everything to HOPE it runs on pleb computers.

Gold stuff! I remember my older UO playing buddy bought a magazine with EQ pics in it, he got the game few days after release, someone sent him the box from the US. Mysterious game it was!

The shadows on the human model in the pre alpha footage were impressive.

Glad they got a real artist to do the release models and animations though.

It's a shame more races couldn't be bards. I see the High Elf bard there. Why not Ogres or Iksar bards? Do no other races sing fables for the ages? Never made any sense to me.

If anyone here has any old screenshots of the Toxx necro hut, I'd love to see them. Can't find them anywhere and there are very serious classic issues to sort out, such as whether the necro GMs wore heretic robes. Very serious. Thank you in advance
