ToV is boring anyway. Nobody "needs" to do that content. The joy of the game is the journey. If someone is planning to start with a regular play group, then Red server is still the better option over Blue, because the exp bonus means you waste less of your life doing pointless grinding, and you won't be blocked from group content. The very occasional possibility of PvP that still exists is always a nice extra layer to the game too.

And there can definitely can be more than 1 guild, if people were to play, rather than just herding together to start doing the boring ToV shit again.

I wonder if the mods/community would consider allowing a naked character copy (oldschool transfer service - it's classic!) from Blue to Red for a community boost? You level slower on Blue, anyway, and if naked, it's not really broken.

Or maybe toss them 100 plat per 10 levels in the bank, then the rest neked (we don't want derpy people to pvp/group with - let them at least buy a ghetto weapon or something).

Then maybe permaboost that xp bonus we're having this weekend. It'll make up for asshats rooting naked transfers during a train with their 0 magic resist. Even with low pop, your luck decreases on Red - there's always "that 1 guy that shouldnt be there, but is".

Not much to say, had a 30-something paladin a few years back, came on one day and it was stripped bare of all its loot, maybe 4k worth of stuff. My fault for trusting the wrong people, I suppose.

Ended up deleting him, and I didn't want to play for a good while, came back once or twice but got bored within a day.
