The fact that mobs can lose aggro on you and reset if you run too far.

You were just unaware of this being possible while you played, that's all. We weren't all meta junkies back in the day knowing every nuance of game mechanics.

Evidence for it is completely undeniable.

Do you have any links to evidence of this?

Least classic thing is prolly the wiki. First couple xpacs most of the population was running around clueless trying to learn the zones

It was at this point I decided to no longer be kind to the casuals as they have extreme short term memory. They did this to themselves, unfortunately.

You're not serious, though. The wiki isn't integrated into the server and you aren't forced to use it. At worst, you're suffering from others' use of the wiki and them having access to knowledge that they didn't otherwise earn.

He didn't say the wiki was killing his mom, he just said it wasn't classic.

That's debatable though, because between Allakhazam, Caster's Realm, and at least one or two other sites I'm forgetting since it's been so long, PLUS the specific info sites (the class forum, EQ Traders Corner, EQ Atlas, etc.) most of what's in the wiki was available.

But at the same time, A) it wasn't all in one convenient location, and B) all of that info wasn't available right away, it took time after each expansion came out for people to figure things out and post them to the web.
