In all seriousness, It's a great idea for DBG to take over p99 and run an exclusively classic server with p99 style code. With a few fixes it could turn out to be an extremely popular server.

Some of the old timers active in the raid scene are going to hate it..and no else.

I think you guys are missing the part where the classic purists would have no where to go.

Not saying I'd drop Agnarr for it -- but some don't really want to go to PoP and want a more classic experience as far as code goes. Everyone would have to stop playing EQ, go to some stupid other EMU (p99 was the only good one -- besides a few custom content ones), or play the DBG server

I'm saying its a great idea from a business perspective.

due to the legal gray area that most EMUs sit in daybreak couldn't just fire up p99 servers and start charging for it.

If Pantheon is successful it will be a pretty smooth transition. I think that's what most of us are banking on.

The only area that p99 destroys agnarr is keeping the game relatively clean of griefers and hackers. Does it exist? Sure... but here's the difference... p99 moderates their servers.

If you spend time on a tlp server near krono farms you will run into cheaters that p99 would handle. Other than that agnarr is great. But this distinction is, quite literally, critcal.

How do "hackers" ruin your gaming experience on tlp servers. I have been playing on them for years now and they are a nonissue. The only people they affect are the ones that can't handle the fact that it exists. Dark elf track and other mq functions do nothing but ruin the users experience. It makes no difference with so many instances available.
