I'm just wondering why don't you just frequent the Agnarr forums with Agnarr related threads? Why post it here?

On live no one ran around with 50 clickies, min/maxing shit. No one ran around with a Soulfire and Reaper and 10 cast calimony pots No one used 20 rogue alts to kill dragons No one foot raced in NoTV ( gunna assume this one I never did ntov on live ) No one pulled dragons to the entrance of ToV, I would assume. No one bound in ToV and did tricky pull setups c'mon dog...if you think P99 is classic EQ you're not thinking clearly. ( p.s and not everyone had a fungi and dragon haste to level with like on P99)

50 x 30 year old losers didn't sit in a guild called <TMO> for years buffing alts at all the dragon spawns so they could just log over when it popped and killed it.
No one had a bank full of Selo's Drums because they killed dragons week in and week out. The concept of BiS is a modern era thing No one used rechargeable clickies on warriors to get snap agro on dragons No one used puppetstrings to give everyone OT Hammers. anyhow you get the point the list could go on forever.

The power of hindsight and available resources has had a profound effect on p99 so really all of those things were foreseeable. Especially things like manastones/elder beads being farmed to oblivion when they were in-game with everybody being aware of their fate.
The only thing I never saw coming was the massive population, being an old VZTZ/Clumsy's World player and never seeing an emu server ever really break 150-200 people.

P99 is fucking classic as all fuck. Hell, even when it comes to people who say "well I can't play like I used to now that I have a job and kids, so a lack of instancing and cooperation in the raid scene means all of P99 is just horrrrible!!!" ... bullshit. When you were 14 and playing on live, you were in school as much as you work now. You didn't have kids or a mortgage, but you had sports, family dinners, friends outside of EQ, dialup that you couldn't use when your Mom wanted to make a phone call, the neighbor's lawn to mow so you could afford your $9.89/month and the newest xpac at $40 or whatever, etc. The whole "being a grown up means I need live amenities in order to enjoy EQ like I did back in the day" is an attempt to avoid admitting that you really just want more convenience (which is, of course, a decidedly un-classic thing), since it's not like your RL back in the day didn't get in the way of your raiding as much as your RL today does. All that said, I'll try this stupid Agnarr server. Phinigel was pretty impressive when I looked at its population compared to p99 last night, even taking into account how many people were just AFK in the bazaar. It's not like you can't play most things on Agnarr AND on p99 at the same time if you want to without breaking a sweat. God knows I'm tempted to do a melody bard and a wizard on Agnarr while I keep playing Noman on P99.

The biggest issue with P99 is the raid scene being a cluster. But as far as classic goes, the Titanium client kills any chance of full immersion.
I hope P99 migrates over to the client used by TAKP sooner rather than later. Limit to 1 hotkey window rather than 4. No cycle target hotkey No Scroll wheel to 3rd person No mana value in inventory window No DoT ticks No multiple item links opened simultaneously (as close as you can get to fully removing them) These would all be incredible changes to enhance the classic experience on P99. I hope switching clients is feasible. It's probably the most important change they could make to emulate the classic experience even closer.
