That may or may nor be the case but, we still have until September. Most likely that date will be pushed back again as well.

Can't knock it, until you try it. If I had that attitude, I never would have played EQ Classic. I would have missed out on a lot of fun!

I have tried a lot of MMOs. Almost all of them suck which is why I wait for a free trial with 95% of them now. I am still waiting for that startrek online one.

Or, you could be smart and play the beta and get a feel for an MMO and not wait for 6 months before a trail comes out. I played the beta of Star Trek beta and not worth the wait IMO. I have played all the shitty F2P MMOs to try and hold me over and I hear ya until something good comes along! Rift is the first MMO that I have played in a very long time that feels like a real game that is not gimmicky. It's not a bull shit easy Korean MMO and has the best elements from a lot of the MMOs out there. Could In get bored with in in 6-8 months, sure. My expectations at the very least is that it holds my interest until Guild Wars 2 or Tera Online comes out. However, I am hoping that it will hold my interest for a few years. Sadly when I first started o play MMOs in 2003/2004, WOW has been the only MMO to hold interest for a long time, 3 years. I am looking for that MMO to come again and hopefully I found it.

Definitely will be playing Rift. I've been having fun so far in the beta. It's a nice change of pace. The EQ elitists make me laugh, or the people who are too afraid to admit they're playing other games just to avoid ridicule.

Exactly man! I don't understand personally why people are so afraid to broaden their horizons.

The spell effects and character speccing looks cool though, but the videos ive seen don't really impress me or give me the urge to play.
