Raid scene could be fixed with two steps that Sirken refuses to take:

- work with guild leaders to clarify and finalize rules, post them publicly and keep them up-to-date based on current precedent
- make raid petitions public in a forum that everyone can view

Sirken has been asked multiple times by multiple people on all sides of the raid scene to clarify certain rules, and he has refused again and again. His stated reason for not clarifying rules is that ambiguity reduces the opportunities for people to abuse the rules. Try not to laugh.

Probably 3/4 of the disputes I've seen have been over ambiguity in the rules. The rest were either legitimate rule violations, or disingenuous bullshit. Making raid petitions public reduces the disingenuous bullshit because it adds accountability. Having the rules clarified and posted publicly eliminates the rest of the petitions. End result: Raid scene gets better because people can't simply shout "CONCPDE" whenever they think something isn't going their way.

I eagerly accept my incoming forum ban for having the audacity to question the Will and Authority of Our God Emperor, Sirken.

This needs to happen, if only for entertainment purposes.

It's actually the best way for Dal's concept to be enforced: You want to involve the staff and take a swing at getting a free mob? The whole server gets the chance to laugh at you if you aren't in the right. And, more importantly, they get the chance to laugh at you even if you are right.

Just close your eyes and imagine Red99 getting the chance to critique blue server raid petitions. This really needs to happen.

Make a rule and you're accountable for the loopholes nerds are going to find, right?

Nothing is fairer than "last guild standing" when the mob drops

Was he asking her to hand him more food, or was he commenting on how delicious it was?
