My point was said, your vote never mattered. And this election proved it. The folks in the electoral college have their own minds and vote how they see fit, it was just never a popular opinion until the rise of the internet and people educating themselves by googling "electoral college"

So to repeat, citizen votes do not matter. never did, never will.
Yeah its not like the electoral college casts votes based on who the majority in their district voted for or anything.

Thats definitely not how it works, they just vote for trump regardless of a 100% hillary win right?

Jauna tries to be condescending, realizes he is speaking to his better and tries to project it on to me.

I'm not being condescending Jauna, I really am more knowledgeable about this than you.

If you need help with ur mid-term or whatever I'll be happy to help you over winter break, I did pass that class.

I don't actually mind Alaska's electoral votes not mattering much. Why should a state of less than a million have more than a small say in who runs this country? However, we should on that same token be able to run our affairs as we see fit (within the bounds of the Constitution ofc). Three votes is fine, we have un-arguably one of the most powerful congressman in the house in Young, and two senators - we'll be fine.

I voted for Clinton, but I'm not salty about the Don. I think in the end he'll be a fine president, because Lord knows I wasn't expecting Clinton to be anything but the status quo. I just didn't see Donald as the course correction we needed. Voting for Clinton was actually the conservative vote in many senses of the word.

You know, this thread got me thinking though. There is still a possibility that Clinton wins.

This would actually make me unhappy at this point. It would be interesting, but interesting like that curse:

may you live in interesting times.
