Best part is that I don't even have a max level character and this AC got me my first Fungi.

I think its odd that people consider jboots a "required" item. I've always seen them as a luxury, basically a way to save bag space/time/convenience associated with acquiring SoW potions. Even on characters I have jboots on I still carry SoW potions for those times I need to move extra quick.

Side note: I always found it interesting that Ring of the Ancients is a wrist slot item. Small details like that (a giants ring being a normal dudes bracelet) always make me a little happier.

There is also Traveler's Boots avail which offer same thing as Jboots speed wise but it has a 1 second cast, hardly anything that prevents a wiz from quadding or redoing the speed during an active quad. I think those boots costs less than 5k from the Tinker bag vender.

What??? Is this true??? You can buy JBoots that just have a 1 second cast straight from a vendor???

Does it require any kind of reputation / faction or anything? Or do you just go right in and buy it off a vendor?

I don't know who that is, sorry. I've never ranted about it in game aside from passing comments in group or ooc, never tells. I don't get mad anymore; I kill Hasten. 5 times today. Someone kept auctioning jboots in EC and that Hasten was up, so I had to keep going back. After that I just got into a rhythm of checking every hour.
