Someone explain to me why this is remotely interesting, revolutionary, or impressive?

I'm clearly missing it... this is "i'd never purchase and can't understand why anyone ever would" status right now.

Clearly you don't want to be playing Zelda at work.

Its not revolutionary but i can see it being a console winner.
Timing is good. It works as a handheld you can pop out with you beyond the toilet. Has nvidia tech and will be very compatible to program for. The design is neat, looks nice in toaster mode. Two player mode on the go. It might work as a touchpad. Will be handy with cam peripherals etc.

Most likely it will: be a huge success in Japan, amongst kids and young gamers buying their first console. Gamers who own pc and or ps4/xbox will want a new toy and it completes well with those inventions. If it works as a touchpad the price will rival the existing ones and can take its market.

The best solution to gaming is a pc, and a sega genesis and snes using rgb on crt. Got gaming covered

I might actually buy this, guess it depends on how solid the third party support is

I haven't done the console thing in any meaningful way since playstation 2!

Interesting, did not know this.

Meh, the EVGA 1080 is like $400 bucks right now. I still have a 970 and I have no idea when the price is going to come down. Depends on what kind of gaming you're doing I suppose but yeah the CPU upgrade is going to be a ways off for most.

Regardless, I want to give Ninetendo my money so I can play Zelda at work.
where the fuck is there a 1080 for $400??

I left this shit aside... not posting "Adventures of Link" SS atm but ... I can dive into false hype... long as it aint ea or blizzard... might load lotro if not pantheon ... sigh... u know whats up tho and i hear ya...

------------------------

sry if I missed mention, but i talked to a buddy-o-mine today about zelda and he was saying you have to dress accordingly (for example) to address climate... was talkin' bout a survival element...

I joked about "Harvest Zelda" and "Link's Moon" and he subtletly(sp) agreed in jest...

??
