So how did the Zek PvP server turn out?

^^ the bone chip/ticket exploit was seriously not that big a deal and did not have a serious impact on the server pop outside of like a 1-week window. Hacking has been less of a problem on this box than on any I've played on (outside of probably red99) and is way better than live ever was. And exploits were pretty regularly fixed or altered to make the server more fun and less breakable. The work done to make that place fun is real and I don't have a stake in devnoobs private bs

Coming from someone who has very little EQ PvP and PvE experience, it was a very fun server. Since I joined R99 late last year, I'm behind in gear so most of my encounters with PvP result in a loading screen for me on my enchanter.

The Zek server allowed me to actually compete and have a chance so I could learn some PvP basics. The leveling process was some of the most fun I've ever had in EQ. The battles between TALLBOYS and Dava Donkeys in Gfay were a ton of fun.

I probably won't login anymore for season 1 but I'll be there for the start of season 2!

Portal bombing gfay with level 20's was some of the most fun pvp I've ever had.
