I remember when I was 17 and hated the cops because they gave me speeding tickets when busted me when I was breaking the law, but then at some point I grew up.

For the people that say the cops dont testify against fellows police officers. Do you call the police on your friends when they drink and drive, or maybe when the commit other crimes? Fuck no you dont. I wouldnt testify against any of my friends either. Dont be fucking stupid people stick together.

Not all cops are bad. Most of them do a really good job and are great individuals, they just have do deal with the scum of the earth all day long. I dont care who you are that stuff would be hard for any person to deal with. Its like that saying goes. You cant let a few bad apples ruin the bunch.

I'm not saying this is true for all of them, but your average cop/serviceman is an unbalanced authoritarian fucking nutjob looking for the opportunity to do something drastic. They are not careful or conscientious or considerate. And most of the time, they don't care.

The metro police in my area do some pretty shady shit, such as vehicular man-slaughter because they're drinking and speeding on the job. Or showing up 30 minutes after a group of robbers shot up a neighborhood then failed to investigate the scene and some kid bled to death (the officers later tried to cover it up)

But I can't hate em, cause when you step out of the lower-middle class area into the thriving cultural center known as Broad Ripple the police don't fuck with you.

On 33rd and Washington which is a relatively poor neighborhood they'll jack your shit so quick if you got a lil alcohol on your breath or are looking suspicious, they'll pop 4-5 squad cars on you

But on 64th and College the heart of hipster city you can walk out of the bar there with an open container look over at a police officer and commit public urination without any repercussion, as the business's and community in that area pay the police to not fuck with their patrons and cause drama, as cracking down on public intox in the B-ripp area would slow business down 10 fold.
