I mean TMO had to kill a VS for Taken as a punishment once.
only because VS was Class C at the time and you guys trained the shit out of us during the FFA one causing Unbrella to offer us VS loot from the next.

thanks for Catherin's gloves, she adores them.

The iksar in the gif is Cucumbers. Hoku is a human.

It went like this...

Rampage vs. Forsaken
Rampage is on top going in to Velious. Forsaken has some success but ultimately bleeds loot hungry & impatient members to Rampage. Rampage thrives for the first couple of months of Velious and gets 40-50 Sleepers keys while Forsaken only has 1 or 2.

Rampage vs. Forsaken/Asgard (all targets)
Forsaken and Asgard team up and start putting up a good fight in ToV but Rampage is still getting 80% of the targets. Slowly the dynamic shifts towards 50/50. Rampage is still dominating ST keys with F/A lucky to get 1 or 2 out of 5 each week. Rampage killing Vulak every week.

Rampage vs. Forsaken/Asgard/Taken (outside ToV)
FAT has lots of success on the mobs outside of ToV. F/A inside of ToV have started to take ~50% of the targets with some weeks being even better than that. F/A is hungry and Rampage appears to start burning out. F/A is killing Vulaks. Rules change inside ToV so that you can't spam click mobs on their spawn point and now have to coth and insta pull.

Rampage/Taken vs. Forsaken/Asgard
Rampage offers Taken a better deal than they were getting in FAT, including NToV killing. Dynamic inside ToV stays near 50/50. F/A has about 20 ST keys at this point. 15 keyed F/A members sneak in to ST one night and kill 2 warders, which I dont think Rampage thought we could do.

Sleeper awakened.
There is a server repop about 1 week after F/A kills warders, and Rampage/Taken goes for targets outside of ToV while F/A cleans up inside. F/A kills Vulak just as Ramp/Taken are getting back and link the Gharn's in /ooc. A couple of hours later Rampage and a few keyed Taken members head to ST and kill all 4 warders thus waking the sleeper.

Side note: I think the warders being killed by F/A and the gharns dropping might have contributed a little bit to Rampage blowing it up...but more likely them dominating nearly uncontested for 2-3 months in Velious and then going through 3-4 months of serious competition burned out their playmakers. It had to end at some point. Nobody can do what they were doing forever.

remaining Rampage/Taken form Awakened.
Mostly Taken members. A bunch of Rampage that took a break after the awakening have also come back to join them as well.

Awakened vs. Forsaken/Asgard
50/50 for awhile. Some weeks guild a wins, some weeks guild b wins.

Forsaken/Asgard form Aftermath
Friends/pals/etc.

Awakened vs. Aftermath
See: Awakened vs. Forsaken/Asgard

This is all within 7 or 8 months.

The fact that I found this interesting is sad in itself.

Nice history, though. Thanks!

I must confess I do enjoy a good train. Watching NPCs mow down players from relative safety is single best part of being a rogue. Hearing "you guys trained the shit out of us" years later makes me imagine was a pretty damn good one and that just fills my heart with pride having been a part of such a legendary crew of gamers. You are welcome for the gloves! You definitely lol earned them haha.

I wish these kinds of things got documented for future p99 players to read about.
There are numerous other past events that have unfolded on p99 that are lost in the rabbles of these forums.
Some of this stuff is really cool to read about.

Every major raiding guild at some point has had to co-raid with Taken to score a kill, you cannot say that about anyone else. They were also pretty damn good by themselves...

First to kill Statue of Rallos Zek: Taken
First to kill King Tormax: Taken
First to kill Dracoliche 2.0: Taken

Also one of the first guilds to even score a Statue kill during a normal spawn versus the Rampage powerhouse.

But yeah Taken sucked: server first Kael kills, most career AoW kills oh and the crucial cog to the FAT alliance's success outside of ToV.

What a worthless non-influential guild! They didn't concern themselves with the ToV shit hole early on and can you blame them? Nobody wanted to take on Rampage directly.

amirite?
Not bad for a former "Class R" guild, you're right. Zerg Force 1 and Zerg Force 2 (Taken/BDA) really should have moved out of it and let the casual guilds have some pixels and not have to disband.

I like to think of myself as more of an anti-Forsaken cheerleader. I question the judgement of anyone who willingly follows Detoxx as their leader. But it's no secret that I had a few close ties to Rampage back in the day. Most of my old Rampage friends didn't make the jump to Awakened though. Only 1 or 2 left there.
Afternath's doors will always be open to you, dear friend!

Weren't you an IB or Ramp app at one point? I vaguely remember hating trying to send you a tell for buffs
