im not sure why you are taking this personal, why is having 30 guilds in tov a good thing on blue?

i think some of you need to rethink why a server is better than another, i'm not seeing the value of an abomination of a raid scene that you call blue99
Who wants to form a new raid guild on Red with me? We'll call it <Legit Raiding Guild> and we'll slay Emperor Crush and be #8 active raid guild of Red99

Pls. Pretending like Red isn't a 1 guild monopoly is just absurd. Stop it.

How do these people pay bills? Seriously, what jobs do they have and how can I get one??

Serious answer: I tried Red and gave up for 2 reasons that are kind of linked. First reason is low population. You can go on and on all day about how populated Crushbone and Mistmoore are. I really don't care. There's a very real "Ghost Town" feeling when you play on Red. At least for me and most other people that I've talked to. The server just feels dead all the time.

Second reason (And this is largely because of reason 1) is because the endgame is entirely dominated by a single guild. Once you reach endgame your options are literally join Empire or get cucked. It's no fun for anybody unless you enjoy the ezmode free pixel train that is Empire raiding. If I'm gonna play on a PvP server I'd prefer there to be actual competition tho.

So there. That's my serious answer.

I'm not anywhere near endgame but, so far, I think it comes down to community vs. flexibility. On red you have the global ooc and a smaller, and thus closer, community. On blue it's a lot easier to do what you want, when you want.

Honestly, I'm having a hard time committing to one over other. On blue, if I'm not feeling a zone or can't find a group, I move. Don't really have that option on red (last 3 days when I've gone into Crushbone there have been literally, maybe 2 other people in the zone, one of which is a higher camping the Emp).

On red, though, even if i'm in an empty or near empty zone (which contrary to how jcr makes it sound, DOES happen in blue too), I still have the global ooc to keep me invested/entertained. Plus dat XP bonus.

I never said there weren't empty zones on Blue. Some zones just never get used and even semi popular zones will be on the empty side at off-peak hours. But there's a big difference between a server where Kerra Isle and Tox forest are empty vs a server where ONLY Crushbone Mistmoore Unrest ever have more than 3-4 ppl in them. We've all "tried Red" we all know what I'm talking about.

This pretty much. It's a great concept, to fight over end-game content and really feel like everything matters. Until you get completely obliterated by one ridiculously overpopulated guild (and have no meaningful PvP) or join up with them and crush the tiny spattering of opponents with sheer warm body count (also no meaningful PvP). You look back and realize the entire premise of the server was completely missed since your every success is dictated to you by they zerg, one way or another. Either they tell you when to raid, or they tell your opponents when they can't. There's no surprises, no excitement. Just and endless pixel grind with an occasional annoyance...which honestly sounds exactly like end-game on Blue. So pick your poison I guess?

And for the record I like the idea of Red better. Just the execution is a letdown and there's a serious case of missed potential there. Looking forward to Teams99!

its weird how i play red 18horus a day and i never feel like its a ghost town, all the zones always have people in them...

Ive been on red for about 2 years now, and sometimes we have a few months ago with no real #2 guild. Right now we got an actual second guild raiding, capable of doing ToV etc...its a good time to get back on red

Does "Capable of ToV" mean they're capable of raiding ToV while Empire beats the living shit out of them with a fully geared zerg? Or just like.. Theoretically capable of doing it if Empire allows them someday?

1 Raid Guild owning all of the targets was a terrible time on blue. Why would I desire that on red? The added benefit of that they can actually kill me, ensuring a long CR, and such a low population making leveling difficult.
