Boxing is fun to do on EQ Live so you don't have to deal with tardboats who can't figure out how to cast invisibility or look at a map to get from point A to point B. But on a server with healthy population / a relatively competent player base... it isn't really necessary.

Here, people are more competent than the standard player you would meet in EQ Live today. Population is decent also. So it really isn't 'necessary'.

I would like it personally just for transferring gear (I Haz No Friends).

It would probably have an impact on the raid game also, but lets be honest a lot of people who 'track' Naggy or Vox have at some point been a 2ndary box character probably not even a tracker just an outside program that is better than track. So its effect there would be minimal (go go lots of cleric boxes though $$$)

People who perma camp shit are way worse than boxers though (Until boxers turn into those perma campers). Went into LGuk today to find (as usual) Frenzy, AMV, and Lord all camped by individual characters. I liked the days when these were group camps not a level 50 Necromancer or level 50 Enchanter 'camps'. Imo I should have the right to train you if you are soloing those camps and let an actual exp group get in there of level 40s who might actually score an upgrade from the camp.

except it's perfectly legitimate by any reasonable standard for a person to be able to camp an item if they're able to. People in their 40's have plenty of other exp spots to go to. If you're concerned about loot, wait till you're level 50 and farm like the rest.

Lol, trust me. Log onto EQ Live right now. If you give them a map and a line on it drawn from Point A to Point B avoiding any see invisible mobs, they will still die on the way and not due to invisibility dropping. Most of them are just fucking retarded.

Its legitimate, but not classic in the least. Those camps were always held by full groups back in the day. Yes because we knew less back then etc. etc. etc. But it is kind of a pita to know that I will never get a chance to do that camp because I'm not a necromancer or enchanter.

I *probably* could solo it as a druid given I could IVU down there, but I would MUCH prefer grouping that content because those are the fabled camps of the era...

Frenzied
Lord
King
AMV
Efreeti
Royals

The last one is grouped... the rest are basically always camped by a solo /anon Enchanter / Necro. As I said earlier, if it weren't against the rules I would train these fuckers out or debuff their pets/charmed pets or break their mezzes so they stop being little fuckers camping shit for purely $$$ and let actual groups get in there and have potential shots at getting SSoY's for their non twink warrior or FBSS's for their non twink rogue etc.

But I digress, this server can never truely be a replica of the Classic experience, but I can wish [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

There was some momentum at one time for making a camper give a camp up if a group arrived that could gain xp from the camp.

Boxing is when you use the head of a Troll on these forums to release stress. Really Ashimar have the a ball to post on these forums after trolling about the warrior posts. This is so worth reading again!

1. Stop using refrences from video games, such as "Trolls" from Everquest
that have nothing to do with posting in general. Calling you a Retard, or
discussing my dislikeness for things is called FLAMING.

2. I've looked over many of your posts, most of them are either trying
to put me down, or offer any insight into how your lack of a high school education can possibly help other players resolve problems in Project 99.

3. If its worth reading again, BUMP it for me.
