What sort of assault rifle should I purchase?

However, the definition that the NRA uses is anything that is select-fire is an assault rifle. I believe it is not an official NRA position, but the NRA members are unofficially encouraged to shout back at anyone who calls their rifle "assault" by saying "Its not select-fire, its not an assault rifle idiot".

Select-fire = assault rifle is the general agreement among the gun community.

I think it's kind of boring that one of these psycho's hasn't mounted a drum or belt fed machine gun to a vehicle and pulled up to a concert full of teenieboppers yet. That would be the obvious way to go to be an asshole like lulz IRL.

Dude, u can carry like 2 uzi's and throw them away. Their cheap and a dime a dozen. Their recoil is manageable and u can just spray and pray at close range and hit lots of targets. Thier also lite and easy to conceal. Although two handgrenades would probably be just as effective.

AR-15 is the only rifle you will ever need. I suggest getting in addition to a 5.56 upper a backup .22 upper for cheap plinking. Don't be too cheap, a good DDM4 is about 1500$. It will never jam (which you can clear in half a second with proper training anyway).

that lower/upper receiver attachment right there can definitely take a serious beating. Ran it over, detonated it at ground zero, threw it out of a helicopter. An armalite would be ruined.

AK-47 would hold up but I don't know how well. DDM4 is definitely on my interested list.

How is the ammo market right now on 7.62? 5.56 had some scarce times a few years back.
