You assholes have no clue what it's like dealing with someone who has low-functioning classic autism. I don't mean the other crap that's on the autism spectrum like aspergers, rhetts and pdd-nos but actual autism. It's hell for the person who has it and it's even worse for his caregivers.

I actually get EHS, and I'm not sure why either.

No seizures though. Weird.
Idk if "seizure" is even the right word. Doctor claims they are "absence seizures", but it's more like compulsive behavior where I flip a switch in my brain and it spikes my heart rate and i feel an intense aggressive rush like i just injected cocaine, and all my muscles tense up. It doesn't start in front of other people, ever (although I do get walked in on) so I must be initiating it myself, but whether I want to or not doesn't factor in and I can't just do it on command any time.

Feels like my chest is gonna explode, migraine, & I hyperventilate afterward, and if it gets out of hand for a few days I start acting wacky in my sleep slamming my jaw shut over and over til my teeth are about to fall out. Not grinding teeth but CHOMP, CHOMP jaw slamming shut while in REM. Shit is fucked up.

Parents wouldn't let me play Doom unsupervised cause they thought I was psychotic based on this bullshit. I would worry too if I wasn't a humanist and supreme gentleman IRL with no exceptions.

Had a big post but the computer ate it, so, redux: Worked with autistic clients for 5 years, though not my main house as a caregiver. All fairly low functioning but with varying temperments and ADL skills. It can be a struggle from time to time but most of the horror stories I hear about ASD are from parents trying to raise kids with ASD on their own. Even without having to work it's mentally, physically and emotionally exhausting and one often needs a support network to cope. Companies like the one I worked for had day programs and respite services which work exceptionally well for children with ASD. It seems to be one of the healthiest ways to socialize children with ASD as well as providing a much needed break for the primary caregivers.

do you think the EQ client on your hard drive could also be considered an "autistic client"? The subtext here is that you are an autistic yourself just fyi
