Naw man, those were definitely guild property because the guy who sold them was an app who ninja'd them. There's zero question on this one.

When I was an officer I had drawn up a legal binding contract that would rope anyone into doing what I wanted when they signed on as a new member.

Guild property:
All valuable droppables and other property rights subsisting in the Guild and its contents (including in all text, images, graphics and guild chat contained within the Guild), and in its look and feel, are owned by the Guild or members of its group of friends, or by third party providers. Except where otherwise specified, you may never use the items for your personal, non-commercial use, unless documented and those contents bear the copyright and other proprietary notices and disclaimers displayed on them by the Guild.
Other than as specified above, neither the Guild nor any of its contents may be modified or copied in whole or part in any form, including by framing, incorporation into other guilds or other public groups, or be used to create any derivative gainz. No links to the item may be included in any other chat forum within or out of game without the Guild's prior written permission. None of the Guild's, nor any of its groups, items may be used without the Guild's prior written permission. The Guild reserves all its rights.
Other than as specified above, nothing in the Guild disclaimer should be construed as granting any right or licence. The Guild cannot guarantee that users of the item have any right to use content available on it which is owned by any third party, and that third party's permission will be required before their items can be used. The Guild may contain access to third party owned lewtz. The Guild provides such items for the convenience of the users of the Guild and has no control over any drama/RNF which may be accessed or available through them. The Guild does not endorse, sponsor, recommend or otherwise accept any responsibility for such third party items or their drama or availability. In particular, the Guild does not accept any liability for any infringement of any person's e-peen rights by, or liability arising out of any drama or RNF contained on, any such third party website.

By using the Guild or Guild Bank, users agree to the use of lewtz as outlined by this disclaim, and to the Guild's use of gainz, as described above.

I've heard of this happening with an Incarnadine BP when somebody left BDA. They won the roll or however it was awarded while doing Royals, left guild, had to give back the BP.

This 3rd or 4th hand information though.

Lots of not answering the question going on here. I ask because a friend of mine bought white scales and someone in BDA was claiming it as guild property because the guy who sold had left the guild. There was also the infamous dragon bag incident. So is this contract crap a real thing or just nerds saying shit?

There is also the case of the Eye of Innoruuk that BDA gave to Slydexx. Slydexx had the eye for over a year before leaving BDA to join a far more superior guild. Slydexx then MQ'd the eye to a necro in the new guild and BDA began to demand the eye be returned.
