Lower the blue population. Play on a fresh un-twinked server.

Consider Green 99 today!

PvP should be the biggest selling point of Red... it should be the reason for ppl to try red.
Instead the lure is easy xp and easy loot... the pvp is just an inconvenience.

I wish people would move in to Chardok with legit groups.

C'mon people. Lets eliminate this Chardok proxy money racketing scourge. GM's will support your camp claim over a single AoE group trying to claim the whole zone.

So glad I made the switch. It's crazy - on red you can log in and PLAY THE GAME instead of sitting around tracking or waiting to race for FTE.

Rogean's ruleset broke blue and hand out after hand out have created a culture of entitled, whiny bitches.

If you want to sit around until you're told it's OK to camp a mob, please stay on blue. If you want to ascend above the endless petition quest bullshit, give red a try. You might just be surprised when EQ starts to feel like a game again.

Oh come now, the population on Red isn't nearly as awful as some peeps are suggesting. If you gave it a try you would know that though ^^ Sure, you can't sprint around CB or make your way to CE or around CoM camps un-invis without aggro'ing mobs, but I don't see that as a bad thing ^^

Someone suggested that the primary draw for Red should be pvp and as a pvp server, I agree. However, the Red-specific restrictions along with the pvp make for an infinitely more classic environment and many other reasons to roll Red ^^

Sadly, it is not for everyone though =/ If you tend to get upset about confrontation or regularly identify as a victim, then Red is not for you. If you are looking for something more classic and approach pvp with an open mind, willingness to learn and most importantly and understanding that you are on a Pvp server with players who are there for that feature and that those players are real people too, then you are sure to make Red your new home ^^

The only reason I promote Red is because I've had more fun in the past 3 months on Red than in the past 5 years on Blue (even though I had a lot of fun on Blue). And, I never would have thought that would be the case. I came to P1999 for Classic EQ and I found it on Red.

Give it a go!

+1 ... and not all pvp is 100% "lol fgt I'm gonna camp you til you LNS", a lot of the time it's about saying "good fight" and having a laugh about what happened with the other guy (yes I know I forgot to cover my resists here [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.])

Oh I fully intend to make a toon on red because I like to pvp. However all I've ever seen red promoted for by some people is the easy xp and easy pixels and not promoted
for what the server was intended for [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Doh, posting fail...

"Oh I fully intend to make a toon on red because I like to pvp. However all I've ever seen red promoted for by some people is the easy xp and easy pixels and not promoted

That's what I meant to post.
