When WoTLK was released I created a DK. While leveling in the initial zone, a normal human char was chopping/flying around inside the DK main quest area. I logged out, logged in to my other alliance character and talked to him.
Dude said he was on a trial account with a laptop running some 'programs' in the background that let him manipulate the environment in game like he was. On my screen he seemed to be moving at +400% speed and skipping around in the air. Sometimes he would stop moving around, land and the guards would run in to attack him but he would just fly back up in the air and the NPCs would reset. It was interesting.

lol didnt mean to start a flame war.... to be clear I have been banned for 2.5 years now and I have a 59 monk named canabizzy.... and honestly I only ever changed the runspeed offset to cross zones quicker and safer and got away with it for nearly 3 years. It was not worth it when I got caught, as I lost 3 years worth of work and about 300k PP. I am sorry for any damage I caused to the community and am not expecting any kind of real result here. Just whining because velious is my favorite expansion and to start over now I wouldnt even be raid ready this year, and just wish I could witness the waking of the sleeper for once. Anyways. Thank you for the great times on this server, great job by the staff allowing me to relive some of the best times of my life.
Cudos, and once again, to the staff and the community I apologize and I am actually very glad that the action was taken against my account, protecting the integrity of your server is important. Something SOE could not claim as an accomplishment or priority. Once again thank you all | ||
