As far as happiest classic moments go, I had a lot of epic times in classic. But some of my happiest moments were completing totemic quests on my shaman, who was my main. Those were rewarding moments. For whatever reason, group or solo achievements always felt more rewarding than raid kills. Probably because my impact on the events were not nearly as noticeable, as compared to groups. Not to mention some of the initial magic of the game had worn off by the time I was raiding.

Most of my time with classic EQ involved watching my brother play. Top moment was probably when he went on a Vox raid. Sat outside for a couple hrs and I remember getting anxious cause it was taking so long and they just kept fighting giants.
When the time to engage finally came, Goldenpaw the warrior raced into Vox's lair alone and fought her for 10 seconds before the raid force engaged. (No clicky aggro lol). I just remember thinking that this warrior was such a fucking hero and he was so brave to square off with a dragon. After Vox died, we checked out her lair and I was so impressed by the frozen cubes of ice with adventurers inside. That was when I really fell in love.

I was a 16 Wizard, duoing with a 16 druid friend. We were camping the bandits in Gfay, and decided to cause some trouble in Kunark. This was on Sullon Zek, faction-based PvP.
After a very long trek across two continents, we finally ended up in Field of Bone. We tore apart the newbie field...I remember my pulse pounding as I successfully used shadow-step to confound an even-con shadow knight and take him down... Eventually, the evils brought in backup and found out where we were bound. I distinctly remember my druid friend telling them to 'floss with my tampon'. In response to that they beat her up, and essentially escorted us to the Swamp of No Hope. They just dropped us off there and left us to die. One of the evils eventually took pity on us, and walked us back to the boats to Butcherblock, only after hearing us promise we wouldn't come back again. Games these days just don't play this way anymore... Truly a fascinating experience.

Dropping the AC on my warrior back in the day, and later getting my Jboots. I wasn't even looking for him. I was meeting a group and stumbled across him by accident. I don't remember my level at the time. Late 30s or early 40s? I didn't have a lot of hp left at the end of the fight, but I was going to go down swinging.

Fondest memory so far is camping Raster and finally getting him last night! I never want to see another minotaur again.

being one of the first rangers world wide to get a Dark Cloak of the Sky. So many people had gotten rid of the pre-revamp cloak or the quest components because it really wasn't worth the bag space and no one ever thought there would be an item revamp.
also got to score that sweet sweet EQ'lizer spot. https://web.archive.org/web/20010413...kofthesky.html

Favorite memory was in 2000-2001 era. Raiding the Qeynos Hills/Blackburrow area with Flowers of Happiness. We had a player in every level range between 8ish to mid 40's, probably. Nobody was safe. We would kill people or get them to low HP and force them to join the guild.
I, too, also spent time in the kitty room. Later on in the game, perhaps 2003-2005 era, my friend knew of an exploit in High Keep. I can't exactly remember it, I think it was if you pulled the goblins to the guards after getting them below 50 percent exp, you would still get experience. My buddy had been exploiting it all day, and I showed up to join in. After the very first pull of me arriving, the GM arrived, took us to the kitty room, told us to stop. And let us go. He was pretty cool about the whole thing, in retrospect. To this day my buddy thinks I was informing the GM, since he showed up right as I joined in.
