Starting as a cleric might be a bit rough without gear and there won't be too many people to group with but you may find a few. Joining this server you should make up your mind right away on wheather your going to raid and join empire or if you prefer to be a more casual player and do whatever you enjoy.
Imo make a Necro and get some plat. Buy a weapon and some AC/ wis and start from there. Since you will be soloing a bit

I joined the server recently. Its still pretty easy to find groups if you are in the popular zones on the server. If you do crushbone around level 10, unrest from 15-20, mistmoore from 20-40 and then lguk/sol b 40+ you should be able to level up without much soloing.

Aright, I get the whole TMO / Empire nonsense; please don't roll that into yet another thread; especially mine. It's crap like that, which steers some potential people from moving over here to play with you guys, whether with or against.

Alright... played a Necro til 10 after just a couple hours and literally had no PP to buy spells. I figured this would happen.

I'm re-rolling now as a Cleric, and I'm sure will have the same issue, but I suppose it's probably just best to solo early on to at least be able to purchase my "Healing" (14) spell (seems I can Courage/Center heal just fine until then in CB), and... blah. Almost wish I could turn off Xp gain, or if the "usual" ways of getting Plat were viable here (CB Pads/Belts).



Either way, server doesn't seem as bad as the posts make them out to be. Lots of QQing, whining, and crying going on in OOC, and certainly no sign of intelligent life forms to be found in most of the discussions to be had.

Despite all that, people seem to be pretty cool, and quite helpful right off the bat. Though, I am certain that will change later on once I'm leveled, but it's all in fun I suppose. Though I feel some of you have serious psychological issues, or merely need to just get laid for once... but who am I to judge?!

Either way, thanks for the input folks (most of you). See you in-game!

i only read the first sentence, MY FRIEND PLEASE KILL DECAYING SKELETONS AND SELL A STACK OF BONE CHIPS, repeat if u need more spells, thanks. u will get 2 or 3 in the time u get to lvl 4. thats 10pp u can get for each one, a good ammount of spells, welcome to everquest my friend, this is what it is.

It's an acquired sense of humor in ooc. Once you "get it", you'll enjoy the back and forth that goes on. If you can scrape some spare plat together I'll make you up some stat JC'd items, resist items, HP rings...whatever. Just PM me, JCer parked in NFP bank.

If you've got some blue plat that's not being used, consider transferring some to red @ 3:1
