Never played EQ2. To someone that has played EQ2 extensively, will the TLE server be worth playing?
yes if its your style of game( It is not at all like eq). They are having public beta july 7th which is free i think to try out.

The pvp is great in eq2 when it launched. It was entirely open world and reputation based. So if you killed enough people you got a title for it. If you got killed, you could lose your title and the killer could gain yours. It created this very infamy/reputation based warfare.

Its very group based, so if you roll in groups you will do better than rolling solo.

eq2 had an awesome competative progression that was really fast paced. The Rivalries and beefs people had on pvp servers were insane, It was a drama fest which I enjoyed alot.

That sentence contradicts itself. Classic EQ2 was Isle of Refuge then either Freeport or Qeynos, with your home section of the city based on your race. Baubbleshire gnomes represent!

Frostfang Sea and Darklight Wood are not even close to classic.
yeah its not true classic. Isle of refuge and the boat trip have been removed and arent returning.

I've only dabbled in EQ2. The pvp progression server really interests me though. Nom nom open world pvp that is faction based.

I played on EQ2 pvp for a few years, it was awesome. Fast paced, exciting, well balanced. I played a battle cleric, straight wreckin people. I remember logging my account in a few years ago when it became free to play, but i couldnt wear half of my gear because it was gear you had to pay to use apparently. Might check this out when it happens. EQ2 pvp was awesome. EQ1 pvp is not even compareable.
I agree, eq pvp though fun is incredibly clunky.

without auto face eq2 pvp is pretty amazing.
