42 on my necro, all solo leveling, have never had a bard impact me at any point. 25-30 I did highpass keep and karana ogres. No bards at either place. learn 2 play.

fact still remains: you sat and complained rather than leaving

also of the zones you listed, only EK/SK, Overthere, FV, and LOIO are actually used regularly by bards with OT, FV and LOIO being the 3 that I mentioned.
I'm not sure why you keep saying I sat there and did nothing, when I specifically said "I moved to Qeynos Hills."

I'm actually surprised how willing everybody is to compromise 50% of the zone's mobs and work around these bards.
I very rarely say anything in these bard vs the world threads, or get involved with any argument, but this particularly struck a nerve.

As a druid, life can be tough in the 48+ range. You don't get groups, and can only quad/charm solo (usually). Which means I need lots of mobs to play with. Do/can bards take entire zones? Absolutely... is everybody willing to compromise 50% of the zone? Absolutely NOT.

You see... Proactive people not only make their own groups if they cant find one, drag their own corpses to get rezzed, go to a druid ring for a port, pre port to a plane to be ready for a raid, etc, etc. They also speak up for themselves. In an age of keyboard warriors and hiding behind a screen, people should feel more comfortable than ever to tell someone how they feel.

That being said, in my particular situation and neediness of mobs, I always TELL the bard to leave mobs in a specific AREA. If they are a dick about it (which I have only encountered once, and I have yet to see that bard again post petition) than yes, petition under the play nice rules.

Be proactive, stop whining like a bitch

3 zones? You're kidding right? All four Karanas, LOIO, FV, BW, DL, OT, WW, Lesser Faydark, OOT, Timorous Deep, hell even FOB, Butcherblock and Oasis, basically any outdoor zone that's good for fear kiting is where bards kite.
Its amazing! Bards go where its easy to kite all the mobs!!! Why didn't anyone warn you?

You were sitting in LoIO getting frustrated that what you knew was going to happen happened. Meanwhile, I'll bet 8 billion plat that this zone, with a nice 133% modifier and easier mobs, was either totally empty or had 1 other person in it.

This is what I like to call part of the solution, not the problem.

As someone said before, explore EverQuest. The zones you are trying, are NOT the only zones, hell most of them have AWFUL ZEM's.

Frankly, I'm glad bards are out there "pushing" people to previously unpopulated zones, there is different scenery to look at now.

The dismissive "go someplace else!" comments remind me an awful lot of how smokers used to act thirty years ago. No way around it, the Bard problem got pretty bad over the weekend. At least now things can get back to normal.

Except smokers weren't trying to get xp.

But lets say your real world related to pertained to this fantasy world for just a moment....

Smokers would be smoking by the shitty dumpster/dock area at work that smelled like shit anyway (example being poor ZEM and shitty zone anyway but "popular hang out spot") and others just want to hang out at this area because its the "place to be."

I would much rather go out and sit on the bench and read, alone, in the sunny weather.
