I hate sim re pops. That being said. Think it would be good for the server if they did occur more but it was coded that not all the mobs re popped. So.. more repops but only 50% of dargons up so when ground shakes its a scramble to find out what's up and hopefully forcing PvP over those fewer # of targets
Good idea mornin

I think pretty much everyone is on board with this option or something closely resembling it. Rogean has to manually trigger them which causes them to not be seen for months at the time, and fail to stimulate PVP dramatically during this period of time, causing the resistance's PVPrs to lose interest.

Then a sim repop comes along, and you are mainly working with recruits.

The problem is no matter what good idea the player base comes up with. Rogean and the rest of the staff do not give a Fuck and aren't even willing to have a conversation about it. Confident the staff are completely oblivious to the red server dynamics.

It's funny you mention that, earlier I literally wrote up a thread targeted at Rogean and Nilbog to get their input on what they know about Red, and questions along those lines.

Sincerely just to get an understanding of what it is that our administrators know about this realm.

Then I realized most people would just see this as an opportunity for "leet trolling".

Thank you and HB for trying to generate some meaningful dialogue towards contesting.

You have played here how long? If you want to make a thread directed towards Rogean do it in the petition forum. This is embarrassing.

There's little PvP because you're playing on a 300 max pop server time locked to Kunark for two and a half years, where most people come to experience classic EQ for three to five months before uninstalling. No amount of special rules and coding will ever change that. There's a reason EQ moved to instances and raid caps.

I don't agree with that at all Checkraise, I pras you for being one of the few people that would like to make contesting a thing and isn't interested in "epic torlling".

I think uncertainty of respawns would be such a game changing dynamic that would trigger PVP all over the place and give momentum to smaller guilds.

Shrug. I think completely random respawns would potentially allow slightly more sniping by smaller guilds, but would ultimately provide little to no benefit in Velious which is only a few months away, since most mobs require so many people / coordination and time, that the randomness won't allow a small force to take advantage of it.

Most people want to slay dragons and get loot. The easiest way to do that is to join the top guild. In classic EQ, most uber guilds were very elite, it was hard to get accepted, there were long app periods, often times applications were completely closed to many classes if not all. Because of this, other guilds could flourish somewhat because the top guild would shut it's doors. The top guild still got most of the content, but no one truly went as hardcore as they do now, for the most part, and there was new content coming out every six months for lesser guilds to devour as the top guilds move on.

This is all different on P99.
