I was quite excited about Fippy but found being One Troll Shammy of 100 fighting over the same moss Snake got old pretty fast.

I liked Fippy but it moved too fast. People were always falling all over themselves to get the expansions unlocked. No idea why. I stopped when they moved on from PoP, as imo that's not EQ anymore.

They're introducing newbie zone instancing to combat that.

the only p99'ers who will play this are players who want to box and use mq.

Given the skeletal crew the company is left with, it will be more wild wild west than fippy was.

Some find this kind of gameplay appealing. population on red99 will likely plummet.

The only reason that I'd play this server is because I want to experience Luclin/PoP as current expansions again. LDoN was pretty darn fun for a while, too. That probably means I won't be checking it out until it's been open for a year or more.

Lots of speculation going on right now for the progression server, or possible future progression servers with a lot of random tweets and questions asked/answered on the recent stream. I didn't actually watch the stream, just going off of random stuff posted on the official forums. Did anyone happen to watch or catch anything that they could particularly shed some light on for fun?

beta coming out in 2 weeks. rogean/sirken and other p1999 staff hanging out in the stream as well. Roshen answered a question from rogean as well. I think there might be some mutual code swapping or something bigger in the works for p1999 and the progression server.

Although P99 / Daybreak goals are different am pleased to see co-operation of sorts.

Am certain both parties could benefit from this.
