I'll add my voice to this. It is brutal not to be able to edit a long running thread's OP.

It makes it impossible to make 1 thread to consolidate all your items for sale and it's nice to be able to edit a post to indicate an item is sold so you don't keep getting PMs for weeks about an item that has long since been sold.

It just makes the entire forum less convenient to use which will cause people to stop using the forums as much for buying and selling making it even more frustrating to find what you need or sell items.... Especially with how packed EC is with everyone trying to buy/sell what they need before velious launch...

How can we consolidate all our wares into a "single thread" if we are unable to edit the contents of the posts in that thread? It seems this change even conflicts with the direction Rogean stated he wanted posting to go in this forum.

How does that address any of the the problems discussed in this thread? What benefit does that have for anyone? Do you really want hundreds of new threads every day spamming the forums and pushing WTB/WTS posts off the first page much faster? Do you really want to send PMs to dozens of people when you are looking to buy an item because there are dozens of orphaned threads for every item and no real way for buyers to tell if an item is sold or not (at least not without even more spam on the forums)?

If you are against people editing their posts can you be a little more constructive and explain why? What benefit not being able to edit posts will have in your eyes?

I see you've only posted in the EC forums 3 times, the last time was a year ago... if it doesn't affect you in any way and you don't care why even post? Trolling to troll on the Tech Discussion forums?
