you shouldn't need to charm to get the items back. sounds like a bug/not classic, unless theres something here im missing?

Correct. The way it was coded was to only work on charmed NPCs who have no quest turnin script tied to them.

Dunno if there is a reason it wasn't coded to include times when a mob is given items uncharmed.

I, personally have given the Golem a bunch of proc weps. But it's mostly for the fashion. Still want to Dictate and DMF him though, that'd be funny.
