BTW you guys' reasoning that he hadn't bought anything yet for 3 days being a sign of guilt confuse me. Not everyone plays every day.
It's more that he knew he got banned within a day but was looking for 10k's worth of gear for over a day.

Admittedly maybe he found out the date he was banned through petition rather than logging into the game, but to me it looks like he planned on getting 10k, was looking on things to spend it on in advance, then when he received the 10k he got banned.

Of course, I could be mistaken.

There has to be something suspicious about the transaction - namely, the mule was probably on an account that the GMs track and know is an RMTer.

Huge plat sums given to other characters with nothing else involved can not be uncommon. I can ask my real life friend in a text or over teamspeak to log in and give me 100k and we won't say anything in game. I would imagine there are hundreds of other people on project 1999 who can do the same thing. I don't know a single person who has had trouble with GMs for trading large amounts of plat or items.

Also, odds are your transaction was RMT (not accusing, just stating odds), but people do certainly give away money in EQ. On live, while sitting in EC, a guy randomly gave me 40k and a Red Dragonscale BP and logged. Good day. Have a friend who also was given 20k and assorted items by a guy quitting in EC tunnel here on P99. Which again leads me to believe his account was probably being tracked, and your trade was suspicious enough to warrant bans.

Few days ago last week I was given a large amount of plat by a random person in the NFP bank. Was on a noob character with no gear, who figures. The next day my account becomes banned. What are the possibilities?

GM's monitored the trade because it was such a large quantity, probably set off a red flag for an RMT? How is there ANYWAY to prove that this wasnt? The only words exchanged between me and the person that gave me the plat was (me) "Wow, thanks so much!" and the other guy talking about how he had to go quickly.

1) Are noobs not aloud to be given platinum? (large amounts)
2) Was this someone dumping off "illegal" scammed plat? RMT plat? How did I get the short end of the stick?
3) Only character on the account that I played was a low level monk with some hand me downs from a friend. I'd much rather not start over with a blank account - or is this my time to go red?
4) Im glad the GMs try to crack down so hard, but has this ever happened to anyone else??
You already have the answers that you seek.

Haha, I like the way you guys think..Red was alot of fun last weekend. More than likely stayin!

And yeah, that makes alot of sense, I had an account suspended for breaking the 2 boxing policy..It was an honest mistake, I admitted to it, told them that I understood what they were doing. It was a fair and thats that, not happening again.
