Let me ask you this, why would someone who is completely capable of soloing stuff that it takes a whole group of non-solo classes to kill, join a group to get only 1/6th of the exp...I have been in groups many times and let me tell you, I can solo faster and get better exp than any group can get exp at my level. Not to mention get 100% of the money. Maybe that is me being selfish but it is the truth.

For example, I am level 45, I got 2 yellow yesterday in a little over 3 hours, just off and on camping seafuries and gornit. I made 2k. If I were in a group, you bet your ass I wouldn't have gotten where I did.

What erks me is getting tells for invites to groups when I am kicking ass at soloing and making phat lewts...

In all seriousness though, I don't group because when I log on, I have no idea how long I will be on for. It could be 15mins, it could be 6 hours. Back when I was in college I would group right up with ya, but now that I am married, my plans get messed up.

So I try to make as much of it as I can and solo my way up so I can keep up with the Jeffersons.
I don't think hes stating that it would be faster, and I agree, why would he bother for 1/6th the XP. But how about respect that it's camped, instead of just starting to pull where a group already is. I personally could solo alot faster on my bard than MOST groups. However, I have the mentality that if I wanted to solo, I'd go play Xbox.

I'm not sure why people who play solo classes have such an arrogance about them. Just because you picked a Mage over a Rogue doesnt mean youre better at the game. "Zomg im so good I just made 3kpp in 2 hrs" Congrats, you probably dont have friends in real life either [You must be logged in to view images. Unprofessional GMs. Now I understand this is a FREE game and you are a volunteer, but the ONE time I send a GM a petition about something I felt was inappropriate, he tells me I'm "whining". Someone with some type of moxy would have atleast said, "we will check in to it." If that GM is burnt out or something on the game, then by all means back out and take a break, you could run off newer players with your lack of professionalism. Although its a free game, you are still representing a game full of devs hard work and the best damn game on the planet!

Got to agree that the folks running the show here probably wouldn't make my friend's list; nor would I make theirs. I've seen too many "fuck off" comments made by them; and that's just not my style. Still, their hard work has resulting in something amazing and I appreciate and thank them for it.
I accept your challenges. Send me a tell; I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Okay not to hijack or anything, but Ive got throw my 2cp in when it comes to GMs/guides.

My one encounter with a guide was very positive. Basically, I was stuck in a death cycle of sorts and I was rapidly losing experience. Guide Uthgaard swooped in and fixed the issue, and as a result, saved me a massive amount of aggravation. This was on a Saturday morning too, and im sure he had things he would rather do than fix gnome_necro_179's problems.

I havent had the opportunity to meet the other guides and GM's, but regardless of any comments fired from the cuff, they are all ultimately working towards making the server a better place to be. Also, keep in mind that these guys aren't paid, so they aren't depending on this job for a living - they were/are players like all of us, and they are the ones tackling the monumental task of bringing the EQ trilogy back to the general player population in its original state.

Thanks again Uthgaard

A guide once turned my pet into a cyclops while I was camping the AC. It was cruel, in a loving way, or vice versa.

Nothing but positive things to say about the GM/Guides on this server.

It irks me when I run out of marijuana and I realize how incredibly pointless it is for me to be playing this game at this point. If I had any willpower, I'd quit until Kunark.

Heh, I haven't smoked in like 2 months, and oddly enough I haven't played this game with any sort of enthusiasm for about the same time...

When you get some more toss some my way
