Well Mustane was a drunk and because of that he was a douche. Lars was a drunk and kind of a douche. Mustane got less douchey as he got more sober. Lars got way, way, way more douchey as he got sober, and has continued to be a gigantic nozzle.

Dave Mustaine is really a metal genius. I personally think he is actually a good vocalist for the metal scene. He also wrote some of Metallica's most memorable early songs including Four Horseman, Ride the Lighting, and Call of the Ktulu...

I only saw Megadeth once, and it was not great... I think it was during the Youthanasia tour, but it may have been the Cryptic Writings tour. Best heavy shows I have seen live were:
1. Deftones opener for Pantera and White Zombie - Really unbelievably good show from all 3 bads, and who knew who the fuck Deftones were at the time until they killed it.
2. Anthrax and Misfits - Unfortunately it was 1996 or something so no Danzig. It was fucking amazing though.
